SUSTAINABILITY
At our hotel, we have taken a number of measures to ensure that our commitment to sustainability is reflected in all aspects of our operations.
Hotel Moráň, is the only hotel in Prague to have received the EU Ecolabel and the Environmentally Friendly Service certificate in 2023 for its efforts in sustainability and environmental protection, meeting the criteria and requirements of the European Union
Here's what you'll see:
- There is no plastic packaging at breakfast (with the exception of some diet items). We serve fresh, tasty and nutritious local products, supporting local businesses and farmers.
- There are no disposable toiletries in the room.
This is where you can support us:
- Towels and bed linen are changed responsibly at your request to reduce the amount of dirty laundry.
- Everywhere in the hotel you will find containers for systematic waste separation. Please help us in our efforts to recycle as much as possible.

In recent years - especially during the pandemic - we have not only renovated the hotel inside and out, but also made a number of sustainability investments to reduce our environmental footprint:
- Our new heating system consumes 30% less energy.
- The newly installed ventilation and refrigeration system is equipped with state-of-the-art energy recovery technology.
- 50% of the electricity we purchase comes from renewable energy sources.
- By installing water-saving faucets, we have reduced our annual water consumption by almost 50%.
- Over 90% of the lighting in our hotel is equipped with LED technology or uses energy-efficient light sources.
- We do not use single-use items or individual packaging, which significantly reduces the amount of waste.
- For cleaning, we use environmentally friendly detergents with precise dosing systems.
Sustainability and the care of our environment are key focuses of our activities. We want to further minimize our environmental footprint and are always looking for new ways to improve our efforts to protect the planet..
